Lincoln School News for October 28 - November 1, 2019

Halloween - Thursday, October 31

All kids can dress up. Be mindful of costumes and especially those that require make-up. We are asking that kids are dressed up all day so simple is best. Children may want to go without the make-up or the bulky parts of their costumes for school. Also, please use good judgement with costumes. Young 5/Kindergarten, 1st and 2nd Grades will have Maker Stations in the morning.  Parties will be at various times and will be scheduled by classroom teachers. All parents are welcome to attend the parade which will be (weather permitting) outside. The parade will begin at 3:20pm and parents may check their kids out with the classroom teacher after the parade.

Partnership with Boys & Girls Club
I am writing with great news! Our St. Joseph Public Schools' partnership with the Boys and Girls Club of Benton Harbor continues this year with a return of the "Passport to Manhood" and "Smart Girls" programs that were hosted last year at E. P. Clarke. We're super excited about partnership with the Club and looking forward to a second year together. This year we're expanding the program to include students from Lincoln and Brown as well. The program runs Nov 5 - Jan 23. Sessions will meet at Clarke Elementary Tuesdays and Thursdays 4:00-6:00 p.m..

Details are in the attached flier. The program is free to club members. All students are eligible to join the Boys and Girls Club. The annual membership fee of $5 entitles a child to full club benefits. To learn more about what the Boys and Club offers, please visit their website www.bgcbh.org or call 269.926.8766.

The application for the club and registration form for the program may be turned in at our office. Space is limited so register as soon as possible. The forms are due by November 1, 2019.

Thanks for considering this special opportunity for your child!
