Lincoln News April 29 - May 3, 2019

Young 5s and Kindergarten Fall 2019
Kindergarten Screening will take place on June 11th and 12th at Lincoln School.  If you attended Kindergarten Round-Up in March, your child will be scheduled for an appointment for one of these days.  If you have an incoming Kindergarten or Y5 student and you have not given your child's information to Mrs. Trumbley or Mrs. Eichberg, please contact the office as soon as possible to ensure
your child gets an appointment scheduled.

Enrollment paperwork can be turned into the office as soon as it is completed.  It is our goal to have all of the enrollment paperwork collected BEFORE the screening dates in June.

Lincoln School News for April 22-26, 2019

From the PTO:
Bear Wear orders are due tonight!  Place your order through the link below:

LET'S SHOW OUR STAFF SOME LOVE!
Teacher Appreciation Week is just around the corner (May 6-10), and the PTO has a fun, superhero themed week planned to show our 43 stupendous staff members some love and treat them like the superheroes they are. Your students will come home with a list of things they can do (write notes, draw pictures, etc.) to show the staff how much they are appreciated, but parent help is also needed.

COVER RECESS DUTY - If you're able to pop in during the day to relieve a teacher from recess duty, please sign up below. Please note, you must be a registered volunteer. Please complete the volunteer form from Mrs. Trumbley in advance if you haven't already.

DONATE SUPERHERO FUEL - We'll have a special treat each day for our superheroes. See the Signup Genius link below for food donations needed:

DONATE STAFF GIFTS - We'd like to give each staff member a special gift and would appreciate gift card donations. A $20 gift card to your favorite local coffee spot, your own business, T.J.Maxx, Amazon, etc. would be greatly appreciated. Cash donations for the PTO to purchase gift cards works too! Please use Signup Genius to let us know what you'll be donating.  Donations can be dropped off with Janet in the office.

One week is not enough time to show our staff just how important they are to our students and Lincoln families, but let's do our best to make it a week to remember. Thank you so much for your help and support!

Young 5 and Kindergarten Enrollment

Kindergarten Enrollment Packets are available in the school office! If you have a child that will be five on or before September 1, 2019, please stop in and pick up a packet!

Lincoln is partnering with the new sports consignment store in St. Joseph -- Sports 44! Bring your sports items that you have outgrown or no longer need to the store. Ask them to list your items under Lincoln’s account; when your items sell, Lincoln’s account will grow!

Also, check there first for your spring sports equipment needs -- soccer, lacrosse, baseball, etc! This is a great opportunity to support Lincoln and the community!
