Lincoln School News for Dec. 6-10, 2021

We are enjoying our new Buddy Benches!

One bench was purchased with a grant from Martin's Super Markets - One School at a Time Program and the other through funds donated in Michael Wagner's memory.  We greatly appreciate both.

How Does The Buddy Bench Work?

If you are sitting on the bench …

You are looking for a friend. When someone asks you to play, join them, and always remember to glance over at the school's Buddy Bench to invite new friends to join in on the fun.

If you are not sitting on the bench …

Ask your classmate on the buddy bench to play, and make a new friend today! Keep growing your circle of friends until everyone has someone to play with. :)
4 Reasons To Sit On The Buddy Bench
1. If you are new to the school
2. If you want to make new friends
3. If your friends aren't at school that day.
4. If you want to play something different than what your friend is playing

COVID News

The question has come up regarding whether or not parents need to notify the school when their children have received the COVID vaccinations.  Parents do not need to notify the school when their child is fully vaccinated.  If you child is ever deemed a close contact, parents can let the school know that their child is fully vaccinated so that no quarantine will need to take place unless symptoms are being exhibited.

Our Lincoln School classroom teachers have important information to share with our families. Please click on your child's class below to view weekly updates.

Winter Break Begins at End of Day

See you in January 2022!

We’re excited to invite you to our upcoming Scholastic Book Fair. Hosted by our media center staff, this event is an opportunity for students of all ages to build their home libraries and further their love of reading. As always, all purchases benefit our school.

After missing out on many beloved traditions, our winter Book Fair will be a familiar, welcome, and safe event for our students. Here’s what you need to know about the Fair, which will take place from December 4 - December 10 in our school library/media centers.

  • We will host a Family Shopping Day! Plan on stopping by on Saturday, Dec 4 from 9-12 to pick up your books!

  • Students will have opportunities to purchase books throughout the week at their scheduled library time or during recess breaks.

  • You can view the digital flyer here. Talk it over with your child to see if purchasing books will be part of your family’s plan this time.

  • Our Book Fair offers a cash-free payment option called eWallet. It’s a convenient digital account that your child can use for shopping at our Fair. Grandparents, friends, and others can contribute, too! Cash, checks, and credit cards will also be accepted.

  • If you can’t make it to the Fair, then shop online at our school’s Virtual Book Fair. All orders ship directly to your home, and shipping is free for book orders over $25. Your online orders will also benefit our school.

Visit our Book Fair homepage to learn more and get started with eWallet and online shopping. We’re excited to celebrate our love of books together at the Book Fair.

Our P2 Character Strength last week. This board is an example of a very kind act - take what you need to "fill your bucket" with love and affirmation. Thank you, students, for creating this and hanging it in our hallway. Kindness - pass it on!
