News from the Lunch Room We would like to remind everyone that breakfast and lunch are FREE again this year to every St Joseph Public School student. Please try to remember to pre-order your student’s lunches when they are going to participate in lunch. This helps speed up the morning lunch count process. You will be allowed to order the Friday before the next week using www.sendmoneytoschool.com. Due to the supply chain issues we are having with our vendors and food outages we will be providing a one week menu on our website and Principal blogs on the Friday before the next week. This will alleviate us having to make constant changes to a monthly menu and keep you better informed. 04/11/22 LUNCH - HOT DOG, BAKED BEANS, BAKED CHIPS, FRUIT SELECTION AND MILK 04/12/22 – LUNCH - BREADED CHICKEN LEG, MASHED POTATOES/GRAVY, DINNER ROLL, FRUIT SELECTION AND MILK 04/13/22 – LUNCH - CHEESE QUESADILLA, CORN, SALAD CUP, FRUIT SELECTION AND MILK 04/14/22 – LUNCH - CHICKEN PATTY, SMILE POTATOES, CARROT STICKS, FRUIT SELECTION AND MILK 04/15/22 – LUNCH - BOSCO STICKS, DIPPING SAUCE, MIXED VEGETABLES, FRUIT SELECTION AND MILK

We’re excited to invite you to our upcoming Scholastic Book Fair. Hosted by our media center staff, this event is an opportunity for students of all ages to build their home libraries and further their love of reading. As always, all purchases benefit our school.

Our spring Book Fair will be a familiar, welcome, and safe event for our students. Here’s what you need to know about the Fair, which will take place from April 18-April 22 in our school library/media centers.

  • We will host a Family Shopping Night! Plan on stopping by on Tuesday, April 19. We will be open after school until 7:30 to pick up your books!

  • Students will have opportunities to purchase books throughout the week at their scheduled library time or during recess breaks.

  • You can view the digital flyer here. Talk it over with your child to see if purchasing books will be part of your family’s plan this time.

  • Our Book Fair offers a cash-free payment option called eWallet. It’s a convenient digital account that your child can use for shopping at our Fair. Grandparents, friends, and others can contribute, too! Cash, checks, and credit cards will also be accepted.

  • If you can’t make it to the Fair, then shop online at our school’s Virtual Book Fair. All orders ship directly to your home, and shipping is free for book orders over $25. Your online orders will also benefit our school.

Visit our Book Fair homepage to learn more and get started with eWallet and online shopping. We’re excited to celebrate our love of books together at the Book Fair.

Dr. Grant Presentation

Dr. Grant generously shared the materials from her presentation with us.  If you would like to review them, they are available here.

Big picture

Let's show our educators they are appreciated!

We want to share your stories about how our educators have shown support and dedication to our students. We are looking for stories about all education personnel – teachers, bus drivers, school lunch staff, paraprofessionals, custodians, coaches, librarians, administrative assistants, and anyone who is an important part of a student’s educational success.

To submit a story about a St. Joseph educator that has made a lasting impact on a student, please send story background, participant names, relevant pictures, and any pertinent information including quotes and specific story elements to Kelly Gaideski, Campaign Contact, at kgaideski@sjschools.org.
