DROP OFF AND PICK UP
Please take time to review this. Langley will be under construction until mid-October
Basically, the previous drop and pick up line will be blocked as well as traffic coming from Langley onto Orchard. The bus will work as normal and I encourage as many people as possible to utilize our bus transportation.Green and Arrows Indicate Flow of Traffic
Pink Indicates No Traffic/No Parking Areas
Yellow Indicates Available Parking
The front of the school will be mostly Y5 and K as parents will pick up and drop off from that area. Busses will also be in the front as usual. Please do not park in the bus loading and unloading area. Y5 and K will stage for pick-up at 3:40pm.
If you travel north on Langley, you will only be able to go as far as Hillcrest. There will be NO ACCESS to Langley from Orchard. If you are in the front of the school, you should plan to come and go from Sunset or Morton.
Drop off and pick up for 1st through 5th will be on Morton Avenue. You may drop on Morton anywhere between Kingsley and Lane and students may enter the playground using the sidewalk. 1st through 5th grade students will dismiss at 3:50pm.
Families with a Y5/K student and older students may choose a plan that works for them… options include:
Waiting in the front with the Y5/K student and have older student meet there.
Pick up Y5/K student and then drive to the Lane/Kingsley/Morton loop to pick up older students
Pick up Y5/K student and plan a meeting spot (car or other) for older students.
There is available parking at the Ice Arena and the new pedestrian sidewalk system is great.
We should be running these procedures until mid-October and then we will adjust once construction on Langley is completed.
Now, due to this change, I really need some help. If you are able to volunteer as a traffic control helper between 8:00-8:30am or 3:30-4:00pm, please sign up here: https://www.signupgenius.com/

9/22 Late Start Day
Lincoln is looking for an Instructional Paraprofessional and few part time lunch supervisors this year. The Para would be 5.5 hours daily and lunch supervision would be an hour and a half and would be on a rotating schedule. When you are assigned to supervision in the lunchroom, you will be inside that whole week. When you are assigned to playground supervision, you will be on the playground the whole week.
News from the Lunch Room
We would like to remind everyone that breakfast and lunch are FREE again this year to every St Joseph Public School student. Please try to remember to pre-order your child’s lunches when they are going to participate in lunch. This helps speed up the morning lunch count process. You will be allowed to order the Friday before the next week using www.sendmoneytoschool.com.
Due to the supply chain issues we are having with our vendors and food outages we will be providing a one week menu on our website and Principal blogs on the Friday before the next week. This will alleviate us having to make constant changes to a monthly menu and keep you better informed.
