Lincoln School News for Oct. 2-6, 2017

Announcements
On top of the amazing news that Lincoln received this week when we were named a National Blue Ribbon School, the good news just kept coming!!!

Laps for Lincoln
Our total as of this blog post, is $21,324.62 in money raised for Lincoln!
Special Thanks to:
Mallory Getty for all the hours of organization, you truly were behind all the success!
Catherine Kirshenbaum - Sponsorship Chair
Kim Poole - Technology Booth Volunteer and all-around helpful person
Amanda Grossman - Prize coordinator
Maria Jordan - Cash Collection Volunteer Coordinator
Dave Wolf - who came in while recovering from surgery to teach us how to use the high school's very fancy equipment
Joe Jones - grounds person extraordinaire!
Volunteers like Shelley Hill, Dawn Reithmeier, our PTO prez and VP Amy Biggins and Jen Fedewa and more that I'm missing - who helped every day they could despite running other PTO programs or being room moms or substitute teachers and who doubled their value by recruiting their kids, husbands, and even in-laws.
Thank you to everyone on and off the list. Please enjoy the beautiful pictures and videos that we have already gathered on the PTO Facebook @SJLincolnPTO.
Go Lincoln!

Halloween is just around the corner!  Tuesday, October 31.
All kids can dress up.  Be mindful of costumes and especially those that require make-up.  We are asking that kids are dressed up all day so simple is best.  Children may want to go without the make-up or the bulky parts of their costumes for school.  Parties will be at various times and will be scheduled by classroom teachers.  All parents are welcome to attend the parade which will be (weather permitting) will be outside. The parade will begin at 3:20pm and parents may check their kids out with the classroom teacher after the parade.
