We are looking for yearbook helpers from the following classrooms:
Mutschler, Jun, Fiesbeck, Harmening, Peek, Abbott and Persenaire.  If you know how to use a computer then you have the skills it takes to help us with this year’s yearbook.  This only requires an hour or two of work and can be done from home.  If you don't want to organize the page but are willing to take and collect pictures of your child's class we would really appreciate it!
Please email Katie Mandarino at katiemandarino@gmail.com if you’re willing to help.

Box Tops
We’re upping the ante for bringing in those Box Tops…The class that collects the most at the end of each month will earn the Box Tops traveling trophy and bragging rights for the next month! The winning class will also be recognized in Mr. Hubble’s blog, on the morning news, and on the Lincoln PTO Facebook page.  The October Box Tops winner was Mrs. Fiesbeck’s classroom!
Remember, the next Box Tops deadline is Friday, November 30! Feel free to tape or glue Box Tops to the “Harvest Your Box Tops” collection sheet your child received earlier this month, or just bring them in a Ziploc bag or envelope.

Stuff A Truck
Stuff A Truck is extended through Monday and Tuesday! The class that brings in the most items will receive a Pizza Hut free personal pan pizza certificate for each student! (Our pick up date is Wednesday)

Dress for the Weather!
If there is snow on the ground, students without boots will have to remain on the blacktop.  We go for recess unless the temperature, including windchill, is in single digits.  Students should have coats, hats or hoodies, gloves/mittens and boots.  Snow pants are also preferred.  If you need help getting any of these items, please let me know.  Also, please PUT YOUR CHILD"S NAME ON EVERYTHING!  Thanks :-)

Schoolstore.com
Information on our schoolstore.com program was sent home this week. This program is done 100% on-line just by shopping at store website such as Walmart, Kohl’s, and Best Buy. There are over 400 major merchants who participate. Lincoln School participated in this program last year and it was a huge success. Our teachers combined earned over $7000 to spend at the schoolstore.com teacher site for all kinds of items for their classrooms. The program also generated over $1000 for our school to use on things like our monthly CUB lunch for students, classrooms books, etc.

If you haven’t already done so, please take the time look at the informational packet. Every student who signs up and returns the code to the office will receive a prize (write the code on the envelope provided or even on a piece of paper along with your child’s name). Each packet also contains a golden ticket that may be worth $100.00. The winning ticket is still out there so remember to scratch off the number and enter it at the time you sign up!

Extra packets are available in the office. You can also go to www.schoolstore.net to sign up and use our school ID# 153736.

Here is the link to the informational video on this program that all students watched this week
www.schoolstore.com/video (Y5-3rd grade watch the backpack pets video, 4th & 5th watch the earbud video)

Title I - Volunteer Help Needed
Our Title I department is in need of volunteers to copy and code lessons and books for their new program this year. Any amount of time you can spare is much appreciated, and you can volunteer at any time during the school day. If you are available and would like to help out, please come to office any time and we will give you instructions. No prior scheduling of time is needed. “Many hands make light work!”

Interested in being a Girls on the Run Coach?
• You have a tremendous opportunity to help girls understand the true inner power they possess; to serve as the critical ‘fuel’ that propels them forward in life. As a volunteer coach for Girls on the Run, you can unleash the strength, bravery, and limitless potential of girls right here in St.Joseph.

• Girls on the Run coaches are as unique as the girls they serve. Just like the girls, many are not runners. They are people just like YOU who take great pride and care in role modeling character, connectedness, and inner strength.

• Girls on the Run coaches are truly a reflection of the girls we serve here in St. Joseph. By being themselves, they prove that one person can really make a difference. And they have a lot of fun too!

• There are over 40 girls waiting to participate in Girls on the Run here at Lincoln Elementary this Spring. They need you! We need you! Learn more about volunteer opportunities to coach with Girls on the Run Southwest Michigan by clicking here https://www.gotrswmi.org/coach
Won’t you join us?

The Commitment is 2 days a week from 4-5:30pm. Either Mondays and Wednesdays or Tuesdays and Thursdays. If you have any questions, please contact Andria Ettinger at aettinger@sjchools.org or Janet Trumbley at jtrumbley@sjschools.org
